Malta Announces €800 Work-Permit Application Fee for Third-Country Nationals

Malta’s 2027 Budget measures, highlighted during the reporting period, include increasing new work-permit application fees for third-country nationals from €600 to €800 and introducing an annual €400 infrastructure contribution for relevant applications and renewals. The measures are scheduled for 2027 implementation. Employers and recruitment agencies will need to review compliance and workforce costs.
